This is a French bird cage from around 1930, made of wood. The bird cage has its original green paint and a white painted roof. The paintwork is heavily peeled, flaky and cracked and the metal bars show a LOT of rust, but I believe it gives the bird cage its character. It still has its original bird feeder, there are two wooden perches inside the bird cage and a rusty metal hoop which held the water feeder (not included).
There are also two holes on the front and the back, just under the roof, which allowed the bird to fly in and out of his cage whenever he wanted. The handle on top of the bird cage is rusty, but still sturdy.Overall, this bird cage has a weathered and timeworn patina, consistent with age and use. It measures 17.3" in length (measured from the left side of the roof to the right side of the roof), 15.6" in width and 19.9 in height (measured from bottom to the highest point of the roof).
